Coach Hovancsek is entering his fourth year as head coach of William Jessup University's men's golf program.

Hovancsek, a PGA Master Professional, brings over thirty years of teaching, coaching, and leadership experience to the Warrior's golf program.  He was formerly the head men's golf coach at Sierra College.  After a two-year sabbatical suffering from two "near death" experiences, Hovancsek feels blessed for the opportunity to continue his passion and love of building relationships with student-athletes through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

"It's an honor to be the head coach at WJU," stated Hovancsek.  "The opportunity to fulfill my mission of training young men up to be Christ-centered Warriors for God is something I deeply value.  The program has been on the rise and I look forward to continuing the transformation of the program to the next level.  I thank the Lord for this opportunity."

Coach Hovancsek had tremendous success at the community college level.  The three-time Big 8 conference coach of the year sent over thirty student-athletes on scholarships to the next level.  He coached one state individual champion, three Big 8 conference and Nor-Cal Championships.
A native of Ohio, he helped lead his high school team to the state championship.  In 1996, Hovancsek earned the honor of becoming the 186th Master Professional in the PGA of America.
