Celma moves into her third season with the Warriors coming off a successful two years with two All-Americans under her leadership.

"Adding Coach Celma to our staff at William Jessup is a huge win for Jessup Track & Field and Cross Country," recent hire and now head coach over track and field and cross country," Jeff Magley said. "She brings a wealth of high-level experience both as a competitive NCAA Division I athlete, as well as her collegiate coaching experience."

Coaching Experience

In her first season with the Warriors, Celma worked specifically with the multi-event athletes where she led Vendela Williams to her second-straight postseason appearance and first All-American recognition in the Heptathlon. The success continued in 2020 as Williams was the program's first honoree in to acheive All-American recognition at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championship.

After graduating with her Bachelor in Kinesiology from Sacramento State, the heptathlete continued at her alma mater to continue her education receiving her Masters in Kinesiology while working as a volunteer coach for the Hornets Track and Field program, moving her way up to an assistant coach.

Working specifically with jumps and the day-to-day operations of the program, Celma was a part of the coaching staff that earned 5 Big Sky Champions, had one NCAA qualifier and 6 Academic All-Americans. She individually coached one Big Sky Champion in the high jump, two all-conference honorees and 6 athletes that ranked in the top-8 of the conference for the high jump event.

Student-Athlete and Personal

As an athlete, Celma competed at Sacramento State in the Pentathlon, Heptathlon and Triple Jump. In her time with the Hornets, she was named Big Sky Heptathlon champion in 2012 and All-Big Sky honoree in the women's triple jump, javelin and pentathlon. She was a part of 8 Big Sky Championships and advanced to the NCAA West Regionals in the triple jump.

The Piltene, Latvia native now resides in Carmichael with her husband Doug. In her free time she enjoys traveling and being outdoors, more specifically going to the beach, hiking, camping and swimming.
