Jessup Men’s Basketball has officially welcomed Ben Beauchamp as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Regarding the new addition to the staff, Head Coach Mark Darnall stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to announce the hiring of Ben Beauchamp. Ben brings strong attention to detail, great energy, and a team-first mindset that will immediately elevate our daily operations.”
Beauchamp joins the Jessup program after a tenure at Eastern Washington University, where he served as an assistant coach and previously held the roles of Director of Player Development and Recruiting Coordinator. Before his time at Eastern Washington, he spent four years on the coaching staff at his alma mater, Western Colorado University, serving two years as a graduate assistant and two years as an assistant coach.
Coach Darnall also noted that, “He will bring fresh ideas on the floor having worked for really good coaches in Dan Monson and David Riley. Our student-athletes will benefit greatly from his mentorship on and off the floor. We’re thrilled to welcome him and his wife Taylor to the Jessup community.”
Beauchamp also brings significant playing experience to the position, having played professionally overseas for CB Marbella in Spain in 2019. During his collegiate career at Western Colorado from 2015 to 2018, he was a standout performer, starting 82 games and scoring 1,334 total points. He was a two-time All-RMAC selection, earning First Team honors his senior season after leading his team in scoring, three-pointers, assists, steals, and free throws.
Originally a native of Louisville, Colorado, Beauchamp earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sport Science from Western Colorado University and a Master of Arts in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The Jessup community is excited to welcome both Ben and his wife, Taylor, to the university.
