ASHLAND, Ore. - The Warriors women's soccer team closed out their two-game road slump with a strong defensive effort against Southern Oregon University.  Despite the 3-0 defeat, Jessup managed to hold their competitors until the 65th minute.

"Losses on the road are difficult but this year our team keeps coming back to the word 'resilience,'" said head coach Rachel Constantini.  "We created a game plan and executed it very well."

With a new formation on the pitch for the Warriors, implemented on their day off, they were able to hold their opposition the whole first half without a score.  It wasn't until the later half of the second the Raiders broke through scoring two goals within three minutes of each other.

"SOU capitalized on the few errors we made," Constantini stated. "But not once did the girls drop their heads and give up."

The Lady Warriors forced the opposing Raiders offsides 14 times to their none over the game. The strength in back line was led by Aubrey Brisbane, Yvette Perez, Mikayla English and Kindal Mendes.

Southern Oregon would add another late goal in the 79th minute to conclude the 3-0 shutout.

"We, as a coaching staff, could not be more proud of their continued fight and faith in God's plan for this team," Constantini summarized. "They exhibited resilience as individuals, but more importantly as a team."
