ROCKLIN, Calif. - The women's volleyball team kicked off their first of their final two home games of the season Friday night against Vanguard University. The Lions came out strong in each set with the Warriors battling down the stretch of each game, but Vanguard would take the 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-21) victory for the night.
Vanguard started things off with as much as a five-point lead in the first set to go up 12-7 midway through the game. Continuing to find momentum, the Warriors battled back with a 5-0 run to come within one (17-16), but the Lions answered right back with their own shift taking the final 5 points for a 25-19 first set win.
The following two sets would mirror the first as the second set began with the Lions holding a 15-7 lead, but senior serving specialist
