It wouldn't be until the third inning that the bats returned for Jessup as a triple-threat of doubles would bring in a pair of runs, served up by Corina Salinas, Graifman and Taya Ruiz. Mason Marshall would single followed by the fourth double of the inning by Jena Ovens to take the 5-0 lead.

The solo run of the game for the Spirit would come in the following frame as the Warriors would make a few errors to eliminate the shutout for Graifman. The senior pitcher would only allow one hit for Ottawa in her four innings pitched, with two strikeouts. Brooke Sarro would finish the game for the Warriors allowing no runs or hits with one strikeout.

The Warriors would add another run in the fourth, sixth and seventh inning capped by a home run from the closing pitcher, Sarro, her first of the season. Jessup closing game one of the series, 8-1 hitting a season-record 5 doubles against the Spirit.
