FULLERTON, Calif. - The Warriors traveled to Fullerton from Santa Barbara to face their second GSAC opponent of the road trip in Hope International for a Saturday afternoon kick-off. The Warriors battled the Royals but were unable to find the back of the net as Hope took the 5-0 victory as the Warriors fall to 4-6, 0-2.
The Royals would strike just a minute into the game for the early advantage, but a quick look by
Omar Magana would show the Warriors were there to compete. Unfortunately, that was followed by a penalty in the box resulting in a PK and goal for the 2-0 lead.
Just one shy of the home team's shots, the Warriors had 5 while the Royals had six looks in the first half for the 2-0 lead going into the break.
In the second half, the Royals would nearly double their looks with 10, adding a trio of goals while senior goalkeeper
Nick Garcia grabbed 5 saves in the final 45-minutes of the contest.
Jessup would get three looks of their own, but unable to convert as Magana took another look, as well as Brennen Chatny and
Tanner Federico.
Jessup will return home for their first GSAC opponent on Thursday in The Master's, followed by San Diego Christian on Saturday.
