LINCOLN, Calif. - The William Jessup Warriors baseball team won the opening two games of a four-game home series against the Menlo College Oaks, 18-4 and 15-9.
In game one, the Warriors blew the doors open with an astounding 9-run opening inning.
Joseph Starick got the party going with a single up the middle scoring

Ashkhon Kuhaulua returned to the mound and pitched an excellent game as he tallied his fifth win on the season putting his record at 5-1. Kuhaulua was out there for five and two-thirds innings giving up five hits and two earned runs while holding the Oaks scoreless through five innings.
Head coach
Trevor Paine commented on the return of Kuhaulua saying, "It was great to have him back out there and the rest of the team fed off his outing."
Jordan Williams stepped to the plate in the sixth inning with the bases loaded and hit a line drive to left center field that skipped past the outfielder scoring four runs as Williams turned on the jets for an inside the park grand slam. The Warriors coasted to a game one victory, 18-4.
In regards to the big play from Williams, coach Paine said, "When he gets in full stride it's fun to watch because he's such a good runner." He added that "Menlo actually executed a very good relay and made the play much closer than I thought it was going to be. It was a very exciting play."
After a scoreless first inning in the second contest, the Warriors found themselves down 5-2 after the second inning. The scoring would continue for both teams as the Warriors matched the Oaks with four runs apiece in the third inning.
The Oaks would take a 9-6 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning but the Warriors put together another scoring surge to take the lead 10-9.
