Warriors close season at GSAC Championship

Women's tennis finishes their inaugural season in Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. -- The Jessup women's tennis team's season ended Tuesday afternoon in the GSAC conference tournament after a 5-0 loss to San Diego Christian College.

The loss marked the second consecutive scoreless defeat the Warriors took after losing 9-0 to Marymount University April 5 to end the regular season. SDCC got off to quick starts in each of their singles matches as Juliet Caughey and Melisa Hansen combined to lose 12 of their first 13 games.

After gaining the early momentum SDCC didn't let up ending the match before the final singles match ended.

Abriana Rowe put up the best performance of the day for the Warriors losing 6-3, 3-1.

In doubles the Warriors best pair was Stephanie Alsman and Abriana Rowe who fell 8-3. The team will look to bounce back next season when the Warriors return five of seven players for the 2020 season.
