DAVIS, Calif. – The Warriors took a break from their regularly scheduled action on Thursday as they traveled to Davis to take on the UC Davis Aggies. In a contest that was officially marked as an exhibition for Jessup, the Aggies walked away on the winning end of a 76-30 final.
Thursday's outcome will not count towards Jessup's overall record. The Warriors remain at 8-5 on the season. They will enter their next contest still on a five-game winning streak.
Kayla Vieira led the Warriors in scoring with six points in 28 minutes of action.
Maila Lepolo contributed five, while
Makaila Napoleon and
Andrea Jovicevic each scored four.
Jessup took advantage of the game being an exhibition, as 13 players saw at least five minutes of game time. Eight of the 13 players to check into the game for the Warriors scored.
The Aggies started on a slow note, as Jessup charged out to an 11-1 run out of the gates. But once UC Davis found their footing they powered to a commanding 75-19 run down the stretches.
Jessup will return to action on Monday when they travel to Ashland to take on Southern Oregon.
