ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Women's Tennis was in action on Saturday, taking on the Spirit of OUAZ. The Spirit came into Saturday receiving national votes, and they powered their way to a 4-0 victory over the Warriors on the courts of Lifetime Fitness.
No points were registered in doubles action Saturday, as each of the three contests went unfinished. All scoring came from four singles matches.
Singles action saw the matches of
Aysha Hayes and
Juliette Caughey go unfinished. Hayes had won the opening set of her bout, 7-5, but she was unable to stretch it into a point for the Warriors.
Also in action for Jessup was
Nicollet Alexander (1-6, 1-6),
Danielle Akabane (1-6, 1-6),
McKenzie Hawkins (0-6, 3-6), and
Sydney Page (1-6, 3-6).
Saturday was the penultimate home match of the season for the Jessup women. The men have already wrapped up their home dates, but the women's side will be back at Lifetime Fitness on April 9.
Jessup will be on the road next weekend, starting their road trip with an April 1 date in Irvine to take on Westcliff.
