FULLERTON, Calif. – The 2022 GSAC season has come to a close, as the Warriors wrapped up conference play on Saturday. Jessup took the courts looking to steal a GSAC victory to help their placement in the conference tournament, but the day went in favor of the host Hope International Royals.
Jessup put up a great fight in the women's match, narrowly falling to the Royals 4-3.
Singles action saw victories from
Aysha Hayes (7-5, 6-4, 10-5),
McKenzie Hawkins (6-4, 6-4), and
Juliette Caughey (7-5, 6-3).
Nicollet Alexander,
Danielle Akabane, and
Sydney Page were all in action as well.
Hope International took the point for doubles play after winning all three matches.
The Jessup men saw
Kadyn Silva team up with
Sam Smith in doubles action.
Noah Moeckelmann partnered with
Jordan Lenney. Hope would take the point for doubles play.
The Royals would also score five points in singles play as they took the match 7-0.
For the Jessup men, the regular season is now at its end. The Jessup women will be back in action next weekend when they take on Dominican and Mills College.
