NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – Jessup Tennis has their focused-on improvements in 2023, as they begin year two under coach Chris Tolson. The women's program competed in their first exhibition match of the season on Saturday, taking on CSU Northridge.
 
The match, which saw CSUN win 7-0, will not count towards Jessup's official record.
 
Competing in doubles play for Jessup was Aysha Hayes and Nicollet Alexander in the number one spot. Isabelle Rietz and Jessica Holbea, two newcomers, teamed up in their match. Stephanie Alsman teamed up with freshman Grace Sepe.
 
Singles action saw Danielle Akabane added to the action, as CSUN won all six of the singles matches. Competing in the first position, Holbe battled in hers but still lost (6-1, 6-3).
 
Jessup will compete in several scrimmages over the next week before starting their season officially on February 10 at Dominican University (CA).
