SALEM, Ore. – Jessup's visit to the Pacific Northwest wrapped up on Saturday, as the second match of the Warriors' fall schedule got underway. Taking on Willamette University, Jessup again earned two victories as they put up a perfect 2-0 record in their countable fall matches.
The fall schedule began on Friday, with the Warriors earning a pair of wins at the University of Puget Sound.
Saturday got underway, with the women's team taking the court first. It was a sweep in doubles play to begin, as Jessup picked up three points right from the jump. Winning tennis continued in singles play as the Warriors again swept the board, earning a 9-0 match victory.
All nine of Jessup's victories came in straight sets.
The Jessup men would dominate in their match as well, but this time, they would not claim all three points in doubles play as Willamette took a point with their victory in the second position.
Singles play saw the Warriors go a perfect 6-for-6, giving them an 8-1 victory. Only the matches from
Austrebeto Carlon (4-6, 6-1, 10-5) and
Henrique Levy (2-6, 6-0, 10-5) stretched past the second set.
Saturday brings to an end the countable matches on the Warriors schedule in the fall. Jessup will take part in the ITA Fall Regional later this month in Glendale, along with some scrimmages, but no match will count towards the Warriors' record until the spring of 2024.
