SEASIDE, Calif. – On a day when all five Warriors broke 80, Jessup climbed a spot on the leaderboard to close out the Otter Invitational in Seaside. The conclusion of another tournament brings to an end Jessup's fall schedule, setting up next week's trip to Florida for a national championship appearance.
The 2024 NCCAA Men's Golf National Championship tees off from Palm Coast, Fla., on October 21, and the five Warriors in the field this week in Seaside will also be in the field for that trip.
Freshman
Michael Sorber again led the team on the leaderboard, this time finishing T28 after a final round of 75 (+3).
Jerah Venkaiya posted four birdies on his final 18 holes as part of an even par day, placing him T58 for the tournament.
Others in the field for the Warriors included
Braden Armstrong (T84),
Nicholas Schultz (T97), and
Trevor Halloran (100).
Cal State East Bay takes home the team title by three strokes over CSU Monterey Bay, while Jack Hayden of Santa Clara won the individual championship by one stroke, finishing at five-under thanks to a final round 69.
