Baseball Announces Schedule for the 2025 Season

Jessup will play 51 of their 53 regular season games against Division II programs; Tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now

12/18/24

LINCOLN, Calif. – Coming off a conference championship in their final season within the GSAC, Jessup Baseball is set to carry its momentum into a new era this spring. Led in their seventh season by head coach Trevor Paine, Jessup enters year one of the PacWest and Division II with a full slate of new competition.

Jessup will look to pick up where they left off in 2024, a season that saw the program finish 39-11, with a program record 28 of those victories coming at home at McBean Park. The Warriors won the GSAC Tournament thanks to Chris Lopez's ninth-inning walk-off home run, sending them to the NAIA Opening Round, where the season met its end.

The trip to Waleska, GA, for the national tournament, was the Warriors' third NAIA postseason berth.

Now, the Warriors find themselves in new territory as members of NCAA Division II. Jessup's 53-game schedule will see just two games come against an NAIA program, as the home slate ends with Simpson University on April 26. Before Jessup can even think about their Senior Day doubleheader, they will first have to get through an opening five-game slate with Sonoma State that sees three games on the road and then two back home on February 8.

The series with Sonoma will be the only non-conference test for Jessup before the PacWest season begins, as the Warriors visit Fresno Pacific on February 13 for a doubleheader. After a day off on Valentine's Day, the Warriors and Sunbirds will resume their series with two more games in Lincoln. One other non-conference trip comes midway through the year when the Warriors visit CSU Monterey Bay.

PacWest action continues after the FPU series with an eight-game road trip, starting with four in La Mirada against Biola. The Warriors then head across the Pacific for a four-game series against Hawaii Hilo.

The longest homestand of the season will be a 12-game stretch, beginning on March 19 with game one of a four-game set with Hawaii Pacific and ending on March 30 with the final doubleheader with Westmont. Mixed in is a series with Chaminade.

After the homestand, Jessup hits the road for eight straight in Southern California, beginning with Vanguard and ending in Irvine with Concordia. The Warriors then head back to McBean for the final home conference series as Azusa Pacific begins their set on April 17. Senior Day will be the following week when the Warriors host Simpson.

The regular season will come to an end the first week of May as Jessup heads to San Diego to take on Point Loma.

With Jessup still in their provisional period of NCAA membership, the Warriors will not be eligible for NCAA or PacWest postseason competition. They will, however, be eligible for the NCCAA Baseball World Series, which starts on May 17 from the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. The World Series will run through May 21.

Tickets for the 2025 season, including both single-game and season passes, are on sale now HERE.
