SILVIS, Ill. – The 2024 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship began on Tuesday from TPC Deere Run in Illinois. Jessup's 
Jessica Burdick, the 2024 champion of the GSAC, is in the field amongst the best in the NAIA.
 
It's the national championship debut for Burdick, as she arrived in Illinois over the weekend. Burdick got her first look at the course through several practice rounds, but the competition officially began with a morning tee time on Tuesday.
 
Burdick posted 79 (+7) in her opening round, placing her T30 in the 156-golfer field.
 
The sophomore made one birdie on the round, a two on the par three seventh. She posted a two-over 38 on the front, which was her second nine of the day. She began with a 41 on the backside.
 
Burdick is scheduled to tee off tomorrow at noon (PST). Live scoring can be followed
