HAYWARD, Calif. – This week, the Jessup Women's Golf team finished up their final event of the fall season, playing the 2025 East Bay Fall Invitational at Stonebrae. Stonebrae Country Club, located in Hayward, California, offers a stern test of golf as it is the former host of the Ellie Mae Classic on the Korn Ferry Tour, the PGA Tour's developmental tour.
The field for the tournament included 15 teams from five states, including five teams ranked in the Top 50 in the country. In the overall team competition, the San Marcos Cougars' consistent play over three rounds put them at the top of the leaderboard.
The Cougar would edge out Simon Fraiser by ten strokes, who finished in second. Individually, Cal State East Bay's Carlota Eroles and Western Washington's Lauren Lee both tied for the individual comedalist posting scores of three under par.
For the Warriors, Julianne Canda continued her stellar play this season, posting an 11th-place finish with rounds of 78-73-75 to finish +10. This fall, Canda played all five events finishing inside the Top 15 in all but one. Jessica Burdick and Prisllia Padilla helped with contributing scores in all three rounds.
Burdick and Padilla both posted 78 in the final round. Freshman Natalie Ang contributed with an 82 and 77 in the second and third rounds. Ayla Kieth rounded out the Warriors with a contributing first-round score of 88.
As a team, the Warriors finished 13th out of 15 teams, edging out Chico State and Vanguard, posting rounds of 331-317-308. This event completes the Fall Swing for the Warriors, as they now look toward February, when they will start their spring season at Rio Hondo Golf Club in Downey, California, for the LA Spring Kickoff hosted by Cal State LA.
