This Week in Review & The Week at a Glance

10/20/25

ROCKLIN, Calif. - This upcoming week, Warriors Athletics hosts five events for a series of thrilling matchups.

Midweek on Wednesday, women's volleyball welcomes Vanguard for a PacWest meeting and Country Night. Friday is filled with events across campus as women's and men's soccer host Fresno Pacific and women's volleyball takes on Azusa Pacific in Warrior Arena. Women's tennis will be at the Dominican Invite from October 24th-25th. The cross country teams will be traveling to the PacWest Championship hosted by Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday. Women's volleyball closes out home events with a Biola on Saturday while Jessup golf goes to the East Bay Invite on Sunday.

Women's Volleyball

The Women's Volleyball team will have a busy week of PacWest action as three Southern California teams will be travelling to Warrior Arena for matchups against the Warriors. Coming off losses against Biola and Concordia, Jessup will look to build on the home court advantage they have played with thus far. In last season's lone matchup vs Vanguard, Jessup fell 1-3 to the Lions despite fighting hard in each of the four sets. Last year's game against Azusa Pacific was the first PacWest matchup for Jessup and this year the Warriors will be looking to take their first victory over the Cougars. In addition to their win over Jessup, Biola also earned a win over the Penguins of Dominican (CA). Azusa Pacific fell to ranked PacWest opponents Point Loma (#6) and Fresno Pacific (#19) while Vanguard went 1-1, defeating Westmont before falling to Fresno Pacific (#19).

Women's Soccer

The Women's Soccer team will take the field against Fresno Pacific for the second time in as many weeks, this time for a conference matchup. The midweek contest against the Sunbirds resulted in a draw before a weekend matchup against Dominican (CA) which the Penguins came out on top in. Fresno Pacific's weekend action included a match in Atherton against Menlo which resulted in a scoreless draw.

Men's Soccer

The Men's Soccer team is also preparing for their season rematch against Fresno Pacific, this time playing for conference points. The initial matchup featured a flurry of offense which ultimately ended in a 3-3 draw. The Warriors then returned home for a matchup against Dominican (CA) in which the Penguins carried an early lead to victory. Fresno Pacific ended the week off with a loss to Menlo in Atherton.

Women's Tennis

The Women's Tennis team will travel to the Bay Area to compete in the Dominican Invitational hosted by Dominican (CA). The program will feature DII schools from the Northern California region and will give the Warriors a final tune up for the fall.

Cross Country

The Warriors will send their runners to the Aloha state for the PacWest Championships hosted by Hawai'i Pacific at the Hawai'i Country Club in Waipahu, Oahu. At the Bronco Invitational this past weekend, Angela Gladysh continued her strong start to her collegiate career, once again finishing in the Top-10. Juliet David finished in the top half of the field while Mary Stuart, Addisyn Allen, and Kayla Carpenter each improved on their previous 6K times. On the men's side, the Warriors were represented by Travis Brown and Zachary Heberlein who each set season bests in the 8K.

Women's Golf

The Warriors will kick off their final tournament of the fall as they will travel to the Bay Area to compete in the East Bay Fall Invitational at Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward. The three day affair will be the last until the spring season commences with the LA Spring Kickoff in February.
