Azusa, Calif. – The Jessup University Women's Soccer team concluded their 2025 campaign tonight with a loss on the road against the Azusa Pacific Cougars at Cougar Soccer Complex, 2-0.
The season finale saw the Warriors finish with an overall record of 1-9-5 (0-6-4 in conference play).
The match proved to be a defensive battle for long stretches, with the Cougars eventually breaking through midway through the second half. Azusa Pacific's Zoey Kuhn found the back of the net in the 78th minute, giving the home team a narrow 1-0 advantage heading late into the game.
Jessup's defensive unit was tested throughout the contest, with goalkeeper Celeste Fernandez proving to be a bright spot. Fernandez recorded four saves, facing four shots on goal from a dynamic APU attack that tallied sixteen shots overall.

While the result was not what the Warriors hoped for in their final outing, the team showed resilience and heart, battling a first place conference opponent until the final whistle. The program now looks forward to the offseason, where they will prepare to build on the foundation laid this year as they look ahead to the 2026 season.
