SHAWNEE, Okla. – A day removed from an 0-2 start to their Oklahoma road trip, the Warriors returned to the mat on Sunday for two more games to round out the experience. With two more first-time opponents ahead of them, the Warriors flipped the script, taking both games to end their visit 2-2.
 
The Warriors are now 4-2 on the season.
 
Sunday began with a matchup against Maryville College of Tennessee. Looking to bounce back from losses to Davenport and Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday, the Warriors got the day started on the right foot with a 19-8 victory.
 
One noticeable difference in the schedule on Sunday compared to Saturday was the time between games. On Saturday, the Warriors had to wait nearly nine hours between matches, while on Sunday, their next battle came immediately following the Maryville win.
 
That next battle was a closer affair on the scoreboard, as a shootout with the Cowgirls of Oklahoma State ended with the Warriors claiming a 15-11 victory.
 
The Warriors now hold lifetime victories over power five programs OSU, Kentucky, and Arizona State. The latter two will get their rematch with the Warriors later this season.
 
Jessup's next competition will come on March 7 when the Warriors welcome back Cal Poly to Warrior Arena. The Mustangs were in Rocklin for opening weekend, and it was Jessup who came out on top in their opening-day matchup.
 
The weekend will also see Jessup host Sonoma State the following afternoon.
