TURLOCK, Calif. – Tennis season progressed on Friday, with the Warriors making the trip to Turlock for more PacWest action. Taking on Stanislaus State, the day ended with Jessup leaving Turlock with a 7-0 defeat.
 
Jessup now sits 0-6 on the season, with all six losses being in conference play.
 
Stanislaus State competes as a member of the CCAA for the majority of its sports, with tennis being the outlier. Their membership in the PacWest is for tennis alone, making Friday the first conference battle between the two sets of Warriors.
 
The doubles matches saw Stanislaus sweep, with two of the three finishing in a 6-0 decision. The duo of Rylie Maloney and Angel Cody were the lone pair to steal a game in their doubles contest.
 
Singles action saw the first set in Briana Smith's match end with Smith on the wrong end of a 6-4 finish, but the second set saw Stanislaus State win 6-0. Nia Macay also battled in a 6-3 first-set loss, followed by another 6-0 defeat in the second.
 
Stanislaus swept singles action to claim all seven points.
 
Jessup will continue their season next week with a visit to Southern California. The Warriors will take on Concordia on Monday before visiting an old GSAC friend in Hope International on Tuesday. Wednesday's scheduled match with Cal Lutheran has been canceled.
