ROCKLIN, Calif. – Team Five hit the mat for the first official time on Saturday, as two contests awaited the Warriors on the first day of STUNT season. Beginning with UC Davis and ending with Cal Poly, Jessup swept the day to start the year 2-0.
 
The victory against Cal Poly is a gratifying moment for the returning Warriors from 2024, as Jessup fell to CPU, 15-12, at a neutral site in Arizona.
 
Jessup is now 2-4 all-time against head coach Alexis Blunk's alma mater.
 
Saturday began with the Warriors taking on the Aggies of UC Davis, and for the fifth straight time, Jessup came out victorious. The shutout is the second in the Davis-Jessup series history, with Jessup also blanking the Aggies in 2023.
 
The second contest of the day was much tighter, with Cal Poly scoring their first point in the second quarter. CPU claimed three more points in the third, sending the game into the fourth with Jessup leading 9-4.
 
Quarter four saw Cal Poly outscore the Warriors 6-5, but their run came too late, as Jessup had already secured the win.
 
Next for Jessup is a trip to Oklahoma, as the Warriors will play four times in Shawnee. First up will be Davenport on February 14.
