RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The best in collegiate STUNT have come together for two days in Riverside, as Cal Baptist's
The Joust began on Friday. With two Power Five programs on the schedule to start the weekend, Jessup picked up a split to start the action.
Jessup, competing in their first season of Division II status, are no 7-3 on the year.
The day began with the Warriors squaring off with the Sun Devils of Arizona State. It was the second all-time meeting between the two programs, with Jessup earning the win in their 2024 battle.
Friday's outcome was much of the same, as a 22-8 victory kickstarted the weekend on the right note.
Jessup's next contest would be against the Wildcats of Kentucky, a program the Warriors beat in the 2023 season. Kentucky came looking for revenge, and revenge is what they got as they ended the night with a 20-11 victory against the three-time reigning NAIA champions.
Kentucky led the match 9-6 through three quarters, and then in the fourth, they proceeded to pull away with an 11-5 advantage over the Warriors.
The road does not get any easier from here as tomorrow Jessup will square off with one of the best programs in all of STUNT, the defending Division I national champions of Cal Baptist. This will be the first of two meetings between Jessup and CBU this season.
Saturday's meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m.
