IRVINE, Calif. – The Joust in Riverside came to an end on Saturday, but that did not end the Warriors' SoCal excursion as the Warriors got back to work on Sunday. Taking on the Golden Eagles of Concordia, Jessup returned to the winner's circle with a 17-11 finish.
Jessup exits Southern California after a 2-2 trip. The Warriors were victorious against Arizona State on Friday and followed that up with losses to Kentucky and Cal Baptist.
The Warriors opened up the day by scoring three points to Concordia's one in the first quarter. They followed that up with a 3-2 advantage in the second to take a 6-3 lead into halftime.
Quarter three saw a split of the points, with both sides grabbing two, sending the game into the fourth quarter with Jessup leading 8-5. Jessup responded to Concordia's efforts in tumbling with a 9-6 showing in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Sunday was the sixth meeting all time between Jessup and Concordia. The Warriors have won three straight in the series, following three wins from Concordia that opened the series.
Jessup is now 8-4 on the season
The Warriors will be back home on March 28 for the first of back-to-back dates inside Warrior Arena. Jessup will see a second meeting with ASU on the 28th before taking on Vanguard and Sonoma State the following day.
