SONOMA, Calif. – The spring season for men's golf continued this week with the Warriors appearing in the Sonoma State Spring Invitational. In Jessup's final tournament before the conference championship, the Warriors walked away with a sixth-place result.
The field this week consisted of 15 teams. CSU Monterey Bay took the team title, with Simon Bjorkenof CSUMB and Naoki Easterday of Chico State tying for the individual championship.
Jessup was led by freshman
Michael Sorber, who finished T13. Sorber's best round was his second-round scorecard of 73 (+1). He posted 75 (+3) in the final round.
Braden Armstrong also finished in the top 20 with a T19 finish. Armstrong's best scorecard was a final round of 73 (+1).
The field also included
Paolo Castaneda (T33),
Jerah Venkaiya (T49), and
Trevor Halloran (67).
Jessup will be back on the golf course on April 21 for their first PacWest Championship. The two-day event takes place at Aliante Golf Club in Las Vegas.
