ROCKLIN, Calif. – Jessup returned to the mat on Saturday with aspirations to cap off a perfect weekend inside Warrior Arena. With an old rival in the Vanguard Lions set to square off with the Warriors, Jessup pulled out a 21-7 win to conclude the weekend.
 
The Warriors went 2-0 this week with their other win being against Arizona State. Jessup is now 10-4 on the season and 10-5 all-time against the Lions.
 
Saturday's opening half was a show of dominance for the Warriors. Jessup scored all eight points, with Vanguard only putting a point on the board by tying Jessup in the final routine of the second quarter. Jessup called routine eight twice in the first half, scoring both times.
 
Jessup added a third point off routine eight in the third, jumps and tumbling, but the quarter saw Vanguard post three points to Jessup's one.
 
The Warriors regrouped in the fourth by posting 12 points. Vanguard added three.
 
Next week, the Warriors travel to San Luis Obispo for three games on the campus of Cal Poly. The weekend begins with Concordia and Vanguard on Friday and concludes with Cal Baptist on Saturday.
