Box Score ATHERTON, Calif. - Jessup took a short drive to the Bay Area to take on PacWest foes of Menlo College in a Wednesday night showdown. The midweek matchup resulted in a 3-0 loss for the Warriors.
The Warriors now move to 3-5 overall and 0-1 in conference play.
The first set for the home Oaks and visiting Warriors was neck and neck the whole set until the final few points. Menlo was able to make a run late in the set, winning in a final score of 25-21. The Oaks continued that momentum into the second set, staying ahead of the Warriors the entire set. The conclusion of set two resulted in a 25-27 win for Menlo.
The third and final set was a fight to the end for both squads, but the Oaks were able to make a late offensive run and win the final set 29-27.
Eliana Sheridan led the kill leaderboard for the Warriors with a total of 13 kills on the night. Sheridan currently has 54 kills total on the season.
The team's leading kill scorer, Kemyah Harris, strayed behind Sheridan with 10 kills on the night. Harris currently leads the Warriors with 97 total kills so far this year.
The Warriors have a quick turnaround as they will return to home court tomorrow night after being on the road for the last three games. Jessup will take on the Penguins of Dominican University at 7:00 PM on Horton Court.
Tomorrow night will also be Teacher Appreciation Night, where all teachers with a valid ID will get in for free.
