SAN DIEGO, Calif. – On Thursday afternoon, Jessup faced a tough PacWest challenge on the road, falling 87-57 to Point Loma Nazarene University at the Golden Gymnasium. 

The Warriors, now 4-9 overall and 2-5 in PacWest play.

The Sea Lions jumped out to a quick start, outscoring Jessup 25-13 in the opening quarter. Point Loma maintained the pressure in the second period, utilizing a 28-13 run to extend their lead to 53-26 by halftime. While the Warriors continued to battle in the second half, matching Point Loma more closely in scoring, the first-half margin proved too great to overcome.

Aurelio led all scorers in the contest, finishing with 22 points on 7-of-20 shooting, including three makes from beyond the arc. She also remained perfect from the free-throw line, going 5-for-5 on the afternoon. 

In addition, Hailey Hoff contributed 12 points, hitting 4-of-6 from three-point range, while Giselle Dogan reached double figures with 10 points and added three assists. Hannah Shaver led the team on the boards with six rebounds. Jessup found success from long range overall, hitting seven three-pointers, and defensively recorded nine steals.

The Warriors will continue their road stint with a matinee matchup against Azusa Pacific at the Felix Event Center this Saturday at 11:00 AM.
