HONOLULU – Jessup held Chaminade scoreless for 80 minutes Saturday at Saint Louis Field before two late goals sent the Warriors to a 2-0 loss.
Jessup had its best stretch in the first half. It put five shots on the board, four of them on goal, but Chaminade goalkeeper Sydney Bakritzes saved all four.
Karlee Lywandowsky,
Gracyn Wilkinson,
Kambria Steele and
Rebekah Beasley each tested her once, and Jessup also took two of its three corner kicks before the break. Offense was harder to come by after halftime. Jessup managed two shots in the second half, both off target, and finished with seven shots and four on goal against Chaminade's 16 and seven. Beasley and
Kaylee Fore each took two shots to lead the team, and Fore, who played 65 minutes off the bench, had both of hers miss the target.
In goal,
Tyler Boren played all 90 minutes and made four saves, keeping the game scoreless until Shannon Healy broke through in the 81st minute. Healy added a second goal with 9 seconds left in regulation. Jessup was whistled for 12 fouls to Chaminade's 10, and
Giselle Torres and Lywandowsky had three each. The Warriors were not carded and were not flagged for offsides. Lywandowsky,
Roxanna Medina,
Kylie Gutierrez,
Angelina Mitchell and
Piper Hansen all played the full 90 minutes alongside Boren.
Jessup falls to 1-11-2 overall and 1-6 in PacWest play.
