COSTA MESA, Calif. — The long-awaited season for the Jessup Warriors—three-time National Champions and 2025 runners-up—began Saturday afternoon in Costa Mesa. The Warriors dominated the day, taking both matchups with a 29–11 victory over Cal Poly and a 29–7 win against Vanguard University.
The Warriors opened their 2026 campaign against Cal Poly, asserting dominance early. Jessup swept the first quarter, building a momentum they maintained for the rest of the match. While Cal Poly managed to tally several points in the later rounds, Jessup remained firmly in control, closing out the season opener with a decisive 29–11 win.
In the second game of the day, the Warriors faced the Vanguard University Lions. The Lions managed to scratch out a point in round two of the opening quarter, but Jessup responded immediately with a clean sweep in the second. The Warriors continued their clinical performance through the final whistles, securing a 29–7 victory.
The Warriors will now head to Texas to continue their road stint. They are scheduled to face Texas Woman's University on February 19th at 5:00 PM.
