RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The Jessup University STUNT team opened its weekend at The Joust in commanding fashion on Friday, securing a pair of decisive victories over Arizona State University (33-14) and Hawaii Pacific University (24-0).

The Warriors displayed both resilience and perfection inside the Van Dyne Gymnasium on the campus of California Baptist University, pushing their impressive season record to 12-2.

The action began Friday with a matchup against Arizona State, where the Warriors established early control. By the time the halftime horn sounded, the Warriors had built a comfortable 9-5 advantage. The Warriors sealed the victory in the fourth quarter's Team Routine to finalize a 33-14 win.

Despite the wide margin of victory in game one, Jessup saw room for improvement, and the team delivered exactly that in the second meeting.

"Today was a great example of the team's ability to adapt," said Head Coach Alexis Blunk. "The first game had some moments where we didn't execute the way we know we can, but instead of letting that affect us, the athletes stayed focused and locked back in. The turnaround in the second game showed their determination and commitment to improving every time they step on the mat. I'm really proud of the effort and the way they supported each other throughout both games."

That determination translated into a clinical performance against Hawaii Pacific. The Warriors delivered an absolute masterclass, executing a perfect game to secure a 24-0 shutout over the Sharks. Jessup was flawless through the first half, taking every point available in Partner Stunts and Pyramids and Tosses. That perfection carried over into the third quarter's Jumps and Tumbling, giving the Warriors a commanding 12-0 lead entering the final frame. Jessup never relented in the Team Routine, sweeping all four rounds to close out their third shutout of the 2026 season.

The Warriors will look to carry this momentum into day two of The Joust on Saturday, March 14, as tournament play continues in Riverside. Following the conclusion of the event, Jessup will cap off its Southern California road trip on Sunday, March 15, traveling to face Concordia University Irvine in a highly anticipated matchup scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
