LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Warriors secured their third win of their Kentucky road trip on Friday, sweeping a cross-regional doubleheader. Jessup defeated Missouri State University 31-12 in the opening game before surging to a 31-15 victory over Maryville University in the afternoon session.

Jessup took a commanding lead in the opening quarter of game one, outscoring the Bears 5-1. While Missouri State was able to chip away with a few points in the second and third quarters, the Warriors pulled away in the final frame to seal the win.

In total, three rounds were tied between the two squads, while Jessup won nine rounds outright to finalize the 31-12 scoreline.

The Warriors carried that momentum into their second matchup of the day against Maryville University. Jessup once again started strong and maintained a high level of execution through all four quarters to secure the 31-15 win and their second sweep of the trip.

Jessup returns to the mat tomorrow for another doubleheader, facing the University of Central Arkansas at 9:30 AM and the host, the University of Kentucky, at 1:30 PM.
