LEXINGTON, KY – The Warriors kicked off a competitive weekend against the Davenport University Panthers in Lexington, Kentucky at Historical Memorial Coliseum. Facing a stacked schedule featuring top Division I and Division II schools, Jessup started on the right foot, securing a narrow 30-27 victory for their sixth straight win.

Spending the majority of their season on the road, Jessup maintains a perfect conference record of 7-0 and stands at 15-2 overall.

The Warriors handed the Panthers only their third loss of the season; Davenport had also been riding a perfect conference record (10-0) but now falls to 11-3 overall. The last time these two programs met, it was a similarly close contest that resulted in a 15-12 win for the Panthers.

Jessup flipped the script this time, edging out the DII powerhouse by three points. The Warriors successfully built momentum and maintained their composure in the closing quarters to extend their winning streak.

The Warriors continue their Kentucky road trip tomorrow with a doubleheader. They will face Missouri State University at 12:30 PM, followed by a matchup against Maryville University at 3:45 PM.
