Warriors Sweep Penguins on Senior Day

LINCOLN, Calif. – As the final games of the 2026 regular season came to a close, the Warriors delivered a performance to remember, securing a dominant sweep over Dominican University of California at Foskett Regional Park. Fueled by the energy of the Senior Day festivities, the Warriors set the tone early in the afternoon to clinch a pair of decisive victories, 10–2 and 8–5.

Before the doubleheader began, three seniors were honored for their contributions to the program: Kylie Nunes, Neva Adams, and Maddy Ybarra.

The opener saw Jessup's offense firing on all cylinders as the Warriors dominated the Penguins to secure a 10–2 victory. Jessup jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning courtesy of Maddy Ybarra and Evangelina Chavarria. The Warriors continued their scoring barrage behind RBI hits from Chavarria and Ybarra, bringing runners home to secure a run-rule victory.

Chavarria put on a historic performance, tying the program record for RBIs in a single game with seven. She finished the opener a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. Ybarra was equally efficient, also going 3-for-3 with three RBIs. In the circle, Korrie Almond earned her fifth win of the season, tossing a strong game with four strikeouts.

Jessup took an early lead in game two as well, once again powered by the hot bats of Chavarria and Regann Hoblit to go up 2–0. Aaliyah Tinoco added another run in the third inning, driving a sacrifice fly to center field to score Ybarra.

A late-game offensive explosion pushed the Warriors to eight runs, highlighted by hard hits from Maliyah Lawson, Rebekah Beasley, and Ybarra. While the Penguins found a late surge to narrow the deficit, starting pitcher Chavarria and the Warrior defense held their ground to secure the 8–5 win and complete the series sweep.

Jessup now turns its attention toward the PacWest Tournament, which takes place May 5–9 at Biola University, as they look to officially clinch a spot as one of the top four teams in the conference.
