Jessup Athletics has always been a home that welcomes back alumni and that same statement rang true with Harmelink who is the goalkeeping coach for the men’s soccer team.
Harmelink who finished in Jessup uniform last season played for the Warriors for three seasons as a goalie. In his final season, Harmelink played in all 17 matches while collecting 63 saves as the Warriors went 5-12-1.
Harmelink earned a bachelor’s in Psychology and plans to attend graduate school in his near future. Even though Harmelink won’t be in goal again for the Warriors, his ties to his playing days are what motivates him most to work for his alma mater.
“To give back to the program that gave me so much, along with pouring the Love of Jesus and my walk with Him to the players while providing advice/experience to newbies to the GSAC is a dream come true.”
The central California native hails from Modesto but currently lives in Rocklin. Harmelink enjoys reading, golfing, and playing pickleball in his spare time.
