Claire Covert

Covert is entering her second year as a full-time assistant after serving as a student assistant for three seasons and holding down the posts in 2014 for the Warriors.

During her time as a student assistant in 2017, Covert helped Jessup’s starting keeper Camille Cavey break the program record for saves in a single season. In 2018 Covert earned her B.A. in Youth Ministry from William Jessup and currently resides in Nevada City where she works full time as the Guest Service Manager at The Salvation Army Del Oro Camp and Conference Center. She also holds accreditation from the United Soccer Coaches Association with a certificate in Goalkeeping level 1.

She enjoys spending time outdoors whether it’s hiking trails, camping, or simply just enjoying the northern California weather.

As a homegrown product, Covert said the biggest reason she came back to Jessup was because of the lessons she learned. “My experience with the women’s soccer team taught me a lot about responsibility and resilience. I wouldn’t be who I am today without that program and the people in it.” Her ultimate vision for the women’s soccer team is to instill a true sense of pride not only in their school but also in their team.

“Hard work, dedication, and passion are going to get us where we want to be. My hope is that our coaching staff can invest in them as players, but also as whole people so that when they leave our program they are better for it. And ultimately, I want us to win championships.” Covert said.
