Andie Shelton now enters her second season with the Warriors,  after she and head coach Tiger Shelton, made an immediate impact on the program in 2019. Jessup improved their win total by four and increased their conference win total by six marking a school record for conference wins with 10, the most in program history.

During her playing career, Shelton attended the University of Pacific from 2014-2018 where she played both indoor and beach volleyball. As a four-year letter winner, she was on the WCC All-Freshman team in 2014, was a First Team All-WCC awardee in beach volleyball from 2016-2017, and earned a spot on the WCC’s All-Conference Second-Team for indoor volleyball in 2017.

After becoming a standout player in the West Coast Conference, Shelton transferred to Duke University as a graduate student, became a First-Team All-ACC selection in 2018 and was an honorable mention for the NCAA All-American Team. During her one season at Duke she became an all-around threat as the national leader in triple-doubles with six, she also paced Duke in assists with 574 and 31 service aces, while adding 214 kills, and 211 digs. Shelton was the only player from a Power 5 school with multiple triple-doubles on the season.

As a student, Shelton earned a Bachelor’s degree from Pacific in Sociology and earned a Master's in Liberal Studies at Duke. Away from coaching and playing volleyball, Shelton enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. She currently resides in Stockton where she attends Reality Church of Stockton.

When asked why she wanted to join the Jessup coaching staff Shelton said “I believe this is a great program and school. It’s amazing to be a part of a Christ-centered athletic program where students and staff are encouraged to compete as well as grow in their faith daily.”

Shelton also said her ultimate goals for the program is “To see this program become the most successful and competitive program it can be. I want our players to strive to be the best volleyball players they can be while also learning to become strong young Christian women who represent God, William Jessup and themselves in a positive manner.”
