Genesis Sahagun is the primary Associate Athletic Trainer for Women's Volleyball, STUNT, and Tennis. Sahagun is a native of Palm Springs but attended undergrad at Azusa Pacific where she earned a B.A. in Athletic Training in 2016. During her time at APU Sahagun also worked as a student ministry coordinator and did clinical rotations at a physical therapy clinic while also working with APU sports teams.
After her undergraduate degree, she went on to earned her M.S. in Athletic Training from Indiana Wesleyan in 2018.
Sahagun currently resides in Rocklin and attends Bayside-Midtown Church. She said the reason she came to Jessup was that she wanted to work somewhere where she could also grow her faith. “I chose Jessup because of the small, Christian environment and the sense of community. Jessup also allows me to intertwine my athletic training background with my faith.”
In her spare time, Sahagun enjoys spending time with her friends, her dog Luna, playing board games and serving in the Homeless Outreach at her church.
Sahagun said she hopes to have a positive impact on Jessup Athletics through the way she cares and serves the student-athletes, colleagues, and administration.
