ROCKLIN, Calif. - The Jessup women's volleyball team took the floor hosting Biola University in Warrior Arena unable to finish a set on top, falling 0-3 (16-25, 16-25, 18-25).

"Biola is a great team, and tonight was a great opportunity for us to get quality reps at a high level," head coach Shasta Millhollin said.

It was a slow start out the gate for the Lady Warriors as they were unable to gain a lead in the opening set against the Eagles. But the Warriors came out strong in the second showing keeping momentum, and the lead multiple times.

In two quick timeouts the Warriors discussed the need for a push later in the second set, but the Eagles went on a 3-0 run to seal it, 25-16.

Closing out the match, the Warriors were unable to counter attack Biola's momentum to push it to a fourth set. Despite the score, Jessup continued to battle the whole match with an aggressive front on the net.

Makenzie Reeder-Esparza and Jennah Richmond continued to dominate the net with assistance from freshman Jessica Williams. Reeder-Esparza led with 8 kills on the night for the Warriors, followed by Taylor Jacky (6) and Richmond (4) as Williams set them up with 20 assists.

The Warriors welcome Hope International Saturday at 7pm to Warrior Arena for Dig Pink Night, come out dressed in pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

"We learned a lot, and we are looking forward to carrying our momentum into Hope tomorrow," said Millhollin.
