Trio of Seniors Finish Their Career on Jessup Field

An Early Goal Helped The Master's to a 2-0 Win over the Warriors

ROCKLIN, Calif. - The men's soccer program competed against The Master's in their final home match of the season, while also recognizing the three graduating seniors on Senior Day. An early goal would determine the fate for the Mustangs, and add an insurance goal in the second half to take it 2-0 over the Warriors.

Setting the tone early, the Mustangs struck first from 40-yards out to clip the post and get the first goal of the game just 13 seconds after the start. Jessup would hold them the remainder of the half to that solo goal while attacking, taking 3 shots to the Mustangs 9 in the first 45-minutes of the contest.

The insurance goal would come midway through the second half as the Mustangs clogged the middle for a lofty shot over senior keeper Robert Harmelink for the 2-0 advantage to ride out for the win. Continuing to battle to get on the board the final 20 minutes of regulation, the Warriors took five shots but were unable to find the back of the net.

A trio of seniors played their last home game on the Warriors' pitch and were recognized for their hard work and dedication to the program in a pre-game ceremony. Four-year veterans Aaron Roudebush and Harmelink, and three-year Warrior Victor Pacay were surrounded by family, friends and teammates all present to show their appreciation and love for the three.

Closing out the regular season on the road, the Warriors will travel to Menlo College next Saturday to take on the Oaks at 11 am.
