Warriors Drop Game One at Lithia Classic

Hagerty led the Warriors with 11 points

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - The Lady Warriors headed up north to take on the Owls of  Oregon Technical Institute of Technology for game one of the Lithia Oregon Tech Classic. Ultimately the Warriors came up short in this one and lost 45-59. It was a difficult night shooting the ball as the Warriors shot a mere 28 percent from the field and just 16 percent from beyond the arc.

The poor shooting performance hindered the Warriors ability to generate any consistent offensive attack to mount a comeback. The fourth and final quarter was the lone bright spot for the Warriors in terms of scoring the ball as they racked up 21 points.

It was Lily Hagerty who led the Warriors in scoring tonight as she had 11 points, and Ashlyn Jones finished with 6.

Despite the tough loss, the Warriors defense was able to force the Owls to commit 23 turnovers.

If the Warriors can improve their shooting percentage and continue to force turnovers as they did tonight, tomorrow's matchup could see Jessup back in the win column.

The Warriors will be back in action tomorrow as they get ready to take on Southern Oregon University at 1 PM for their second and final game of the tournament.
