PORTLAND, Ore. - The Warriors hit the road to Oregon for their final series of games before the Christmas holiday starting things off against the Warner Pacific Knights. Coming in on a four-game win streak, the Warriors dropped the contest 72-61 on Monday night to the Knights.
It was a fast-paced game right from the tip as
Anisah Smith scored the games' first points within a matter of seconds. Smith would go on to finish the game strong as she shot 50-percent from the field scoring 14 points.
After trailing by eight going into the second quarter, the Warriors battled back strong and regained the lead going into the locker room at halftime courtesy of a Smith layup as time expired. The Warriors continued to play well into the third period, but a resurgent fourth quarter from the Knights was too much to overcome.
Joining Smith as the only other player for Jessup in double figures was
Lily Hagerty as she also chipped in 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting while also pulling down 9 rebounds.
The Warriors will aim to get back to their winning ways as they take on Corban University at 4 PM on Tuesday for the final game of this two-game road stand.
