SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Coming off a home victory for their last conference game, the Lady Warrior women's basketball team hit the road for their final conference matchups of regular season play. With a strong first half, the Warriors tailed The Master's University Mustangs by 5, but a rough second quarter didn't go in the Warriors favor as the Mustangs raced to the finish, 70-47.
The Warriors outscored the Mustangs on home court in the first 14-8, but the tables turned the following quarter as The Master's led 25-20 going into halftime.
The Warriors led late in the second quarter, matching basket-for-basket with the Mustangs before the 4-minute mark. Both teams locked at 17 each, Masters went on a 5-0 run to secure the lead headed in the half.
The second half deemed to be a home-court advantage as the Warriors struggled to keep possession collecting 13 turnovers in the third and fourth quarter to accompany their 15 turnovers in the first half. Masters was able to maximize with 30 of their points off turnovers.
Ashlyn Jones continued to lead the Warriors on the offensive end with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Close behind in points for the team was

Lily Hagerty (5).
Jessup will play their final road contest of the regular season on Saturday against Westmont College for the late start, 7:30 pm before returning home for their final two-game series in conference play.
