ROCKLIN, Calif. – The Warriors swept Arizona Christian University defeating them in straight sets, (25-15, 25-19, 25-16) notching the team's fifteenth on the season, which is now a new program record. Friday's victory over the Firestorm now gives the Warriors consecutive wins in conference play.

Head coach
Shasta Millhollin spoke highly of the Firestorm saying, "They are a very well coached team, that played us very tough throughout the game." Millhollin added that "More often than not, they take us to five sets" while also praising her team's consistency from start to finish to defeat their conference rival.

Taking an early lead in the first set, the Warriors were not looking back and sealed the deal in a timely fashion, coming away with a ten-point victory, 25-15. In set two, the Warriors met a strong resistance from the Firestorm, but it wasn't enough as the Warriors won, 25-19. The Firestorm appeared ready to bounce back in set three, jumping out to a quick 5-0 lead, however, the Warriors rallied back to sweep their conference foes, 25-16.

From start to finish sophomore
Taylor Jacky was on the attack leading the Warriors with 12 kills while also serving up some fire, with four aces. Senior
Kassidy Heuvelhorst had another superb performance with 6 kills and 6 blocks to help propel the Warriors to victory. Once again sophomore setter
Jessica Williams led the way in assists tallying 34 on the night and also led in digs with 12.

The Warriors will look to ride this wave of momentum into Saturday's bout with the San Diego Christian Hawks seeking to extend their win streak to a third game. However, coach Millhollin knows it is no easy task, as Jessup is yet to defeat them. Millhollin said, "We are looking to put the GSAC on notice" while also expressing a desire amongst the team to be "focused on taking the match in three sets."

After the Warriors host the Hawks, they will be on the road with back-to-back exhibition games on October 2nd & 3rd in Oregon versus Southern Oregon University and Oregon Institute of Technology and a road trip to UC Santa Cruz on the tenth of October.
