ROCKLIN, Calif. – In a tightly contested battle, the Warriors fell just short of defeating their conference rival, losing in five sets to the San Diego Christian Hawks. The first set went the Hawks way, 25-19, but the Warriors battled back claiming the next two sets, 25-15 & 25-16. However, the momentum faded as the Hawks won the final two sets, 25-21 & 15-9.
Head coach
Shasta Millhollin said, "We did not take advantage of the many opportunities we had to close out the match tonight. We are very disappointed." However, Millhollin was quick to note this defeat will not keep her team's spirits down saying, "We have chosen to use this loss to motivate us to work even harder as we travel to Oregon."
