PHOENIX, Ariz. - Jessup men's soccer headed to their final road series of the regular season with their first stop at Arizona Christian where an early goal and a late rally came up short for the Warriors (6-7, 2-3)  in a 4-3 defeat to the Firestorm.

Sophomore Tanner Federico would be the spark to start things in tonight's battle under the lights with a goal in the 10th minute as Paul Anderson set up the cross and Federico connected for his fifth goal of the season and 1-0 early lead.

Where the Firestorm held the 10 shot advantage over the Warriors in the first half, they would secure the tie in the 22nd minute, but it wouldn't only take a short couple minutes for the Warriors to respond in the 27th minute. 

Junior transfer, Heriberto Trevino would also connect on his fifth goal of the season set up this time by Devon Alvarenga on the right side a Trevino finished on the left for the 2-1 advantage over halfway through the first 45 minutes of play. 

However, the home team would take the advantage into the break 3-2 with an answered goal in the 28th minute to tie it and the go-ahead goal seconds before the break. Another goal would give the Firestorm the 4-2 advantage early in the final half of the contest as the Warriors would have to rally to find the back of the net in the final 30 minutes of regulation.

Warrior's Nick Tucker would score the final goal for the contest in the 76th minute with a header to the back of the net off a throw-in. Another three shots would be attempted by Jessup in the final minutes narrowly missing the posts as the Warriors drop the match 4-3 to ACU.

The Warriors will have another opportunity to take home a win before wheels up to Rocklin as they take on new GSAC competitor Ottawa University - AZ on Saturday at 12:30 pm.
