ATHERTON, Calif. - Closing out regular season play, the Jessup baseball team took on Menlo College for the final game of the series on Saturday afternoon after splitting on Friday in the doubleheader. Unable to respond to the Oaks' late runs, the Warriors lost the regular-season finale 8-1 but will continue on to the GSAC Tournament now 35-15 and 27-9.

The first two innings would go scoreless between the Oaks and Warriors but the bottom of the third would get things started as Menlo hit the board first scoring on a wild pitch. 

Nevertheless, the Warrior would answer right back in the following frame as Will Law would advance after getting hit in the box for a free base and stealing on an Oaks wild pitch.  After an intentional walk to Austen Swift, Josh Duitsman would hit an RBI single to right field to even the score.

Another four innings would go by before the scoreboard lit up and the home team rallied for two runs on three hits in the bottom of the seventh and another 5 runs on 6 hits in the eighth inning to seal the win for the Oaks.

With their 35 overall wins, head coach Jake McKinley is just one shy of his career-high wins in one season and will take his team's talents to the GSAC Baseball Tournament coming up April 30th through May 3rd at Vanguard University.
