SALEM, Ore. - The Jessup men's soccer program hit the road north to Oregon for a pair of contests, their first stop at Willamette University where an early lead would decide the game for the home team as the Warriors' lone goal wasn't enough in the 4-1 deficit to the Bearcats.

The Warriors came out strong with three looks early but the Bearcats would land the first goal of the game in the 7th minute in a converted corner kick. They wouldn't wait too much longer before adding another goal just two minutes later, again capitalizing from the corner with a pair of assists.

With just 10 minutes remaining in the first half, senior Omar Magana put the Warriors on the board with a long ball from 40-yards out as the Jessup headed into the break down 2-1.

In the first half, the Warriors outshot the Bearcats 11-6 but the roles would reverse in the second half (10-4) with a pair of goals sealing the deal for Willamette extending their lead, 4-1 in the 79th minute. 

In goal for the Warriors was junior transfer, Jordan Paton who collected 6 saves on the day and overall the Warriors offensively had 3 shots on goal, Magana leading with the solo goal and his fourth of the season.

The Warriors will be back in action tomorrow taking on Southern Oregon at 11 am looking to split their road series for the week before heading back home.
