ASHLAND, Ore. - Closing out their two-day Oregon road trip, the Jessup men's soccer program stopped at Southern Oregon University where
Tanner Federico scored his first goal in the blue and white but it wasn't enough as the Raiders took the win 6-1 as the Warriors are now 1-2 overall.
An early lead would be in the favor of the home team hitting the net first in the 8th-minute, but that wouldn't stand in the way of the Warriors striking back in the 14th-minute to even the score 1-1.
A pair of goals would add to the Raider column taking a 3-1 advantage after the first 45-minutes of play in Raider Stadium. A quick goal took less than a minute at the beginning of the second half to extend the lead 4-1.
Two goals late in the second half would secure the win for Southern Oregon 6-1. They would go on to out-shoot the Warriors 32-9 as senior
Nick Garcia had 6 saves and sophomore
Keegan Lewis had a pair of his own.
Jessup will head out to the pitch next on Wednesday traveling to Simpson University with a 3 pm kickoff.Â
